These policies have been established for everyone who onboards SEIBUS to ensure a safe and an enjoyable ride and to maintain a smooth operation of the vehicle:
- Please be prepared to board the bus 10 minutes prior to scheduled arrival.
- Have money or monthly pass available prior to boarding.
- For hearing or speech impaired call 711 Relay Iowa.
- Material for visual impaired is available upon request.
- Drivers are not authorized to make unscheduled stops.
- Always use handrails when boarding or exiting the vehicle.
- Use seatbelts and remain seated during the trip.
- Infants must be secured in child restraints seats.
- Service Animals are welcome.
- Be courteous.
- Do not eat or drink on-board the vehicle.
- Dispose of all trash appropriately.
- Limit carry-on material to what you can handle without assistance.
- The use of tobacco, alcohol and illegal drugs is prohibited.
- Contact SEIBUS with complaints, concerns or suggestions.
SEIBUS also continues to use the following protocols to reduce potential exposure to COVID-19:
- Riders are asked screening questions prior to scheduling an appointment.
- Masks and hand-sanitizers are provided on each vehicle.
- Vehicles are disinfected the beginning and end of each shift.
- Each vehicle undergoes a monthly deep cleaning process.
Cancellation Policy:
If a passenger needs to cancel an appointment, SEIBUS must be called as soon as possible. The call must be made at least one hour before the scheduled pickup time.
- Failing to call will be considered a "No Show", which may result in a suspension or termination of service.
- If a passenger does not call to cancel an appointment, the rider will be charged $2.50 for a one-way ticket, or $30.00 if riding the Medical Shuttle. The passenger must pay the due amount before being allowed to ride the bus again.
- SEIBUS reserves the right to discontinue service for any passenger. After the third offense, should a rider fail to call and cancel a trip; they will be subject to discontinuation of service.
- "No Shows" will be reported by the driver.
SEIBUS reserves the right to refuse service to anyone who conducts themselves in a manner which is deemed dangerous, disruptive or may otherwise impose concerns for the safety of passengers, transit employees or the vehicle.
