Notice of Public Hearing for Proposed Fare Increase
Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held on Thursday May 28th, 2026, at 12:00 PM, at 211 North Gear Avenue, West Burlington, IA. The hearing will be held during the Southeast Iowa Regional Planning Commission (SEIRPC)/SEIBUS Board of Directors meeting.
Any person wishing to present testimony related to the proposed fare increase may appear and be heard or may submit written comments to Southeast Iowa Regional Planning Commission/SEIBUS, 211 North Gear Ave, West Burlington, IA 52655 or email to pinrachavongsa@seirpc.com for inclusion in the official record of the hearing. Written or email comments will be received until 12:00 PM on the day of the hearing. Written comments may be delivered or mailed to the following address:

The proposed fare increase is shown below, which would become effective on July 1, 2026:
Town-to-Town (one-way)
- Current Fare $5.00
- Proposed Fare $9.00
Medical Shuttle (one-way)
- Current Fare $15.00
- Proposed Fare $20.00
Monthly Pass (in town only)
- Current Fare $25.00
- Proposed Fare $36.00
Other fare changes include:
- The Monthly Pass (County to County) will be eliminated
- Town to Town will include travels town to town and county to county as a daily fare
A copy of the proposed fare change will be available prior to the public hearing for public inspection on board all buses and at SEIBUS central office, 211 N. Gear Ave, West Burlington, IA 52655.
